Moved by the widespread use of El Capstan by users with modular systems, the American manufacturer of effects processors, Strymon, joins the Eurorack format by presenting its Magneto module.

Magneto is a multi-head stereo tape delay that also has features such as looper, phrase sampler, vintage spring reverb, phase-aligned clock multiplier, chaotic oscillator, zero latency sub-oscillator and more, all with extensive CV connectivity.

As is usual in their products, the construction is solid and resistant elements.

To try to capture all the experience and complexity of a vintage tape echo, Strymon has studied and recreated each of the attributes of its operation that can be modified in real time from the controls Tape Age, Tape Crinkle, Wow & Flutter. In this way Magneto provides a more vivid and variable sound.

Each function, control, gain stage and each component of the signal in Magneto works with a musical and smooth response. It also includes a good quality Spring reverb.

Unlike the commonly digital processors, the dry section of Magneto is designed with a fully analog circuit that increases the dynamic range of the signal and avoids noise due to conversion or annoying latencies.

Strymon Magneto is available for Eurorack format at a suggested retail price of $599.
