After their performance at the Reina Sof\u00eda Museum<\/a> on April 2016, Mia Zabelka, Asf\u00e9rico and elufo presented ‘The Broken Glass’, the eleventh release of the St\u00f6rung catalogue, with an audiovisual live in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

‘The Broken Glass<\/a>‘ is a work conceived and produced between Austria and Spain. In this collaboration field recordings and synthesis processed by Asf\u00e9rico create cyclical and hypnotical structures, which Mia Zabelka furnishes with her violin and voice.<\/p>\n

Mia Zabelka<\/strong> is an Austrian contemporary classical composer and sound artist as well as an amazing improvising musician and vocalist. She has collaborated with a string of exciting artists from around the world and works with acoustic and electric violin, voice, electronic devices, contact mics and laptop. After completing her training with a very strong classical emphasis, she began to develop her own highly individual technique over a period of years, in which she succeeded in making her violin \u201csing\u201d as a result of which she has become the focus of intense audience interest in all of her performances. She also curates KlangHaus Untergreith and Phonofemme in Austria.<\/p>\n

Alex G\u00e1mez has been involved with music as a DJ, sound artist, sound designer, mixing, mastering engineer and producer since 1995, and currently works under the moniker Asf\u00e9rico<\/strong>.
\nAsf\u00e9rico produces a wide range of sounds and tracks, from extremely experimental to dance-floor music. In January 2006, he founded St\u00f6rung, a platform focused on electronic and experimental music and visual arts that promotes and supports a variety of creative tendencies of the electronic music field, providing live performances, radio programs, and releases, to enable the audience to hear and enjoy these musical and artistic tendencies.<\/p>\n

elufo<\/strong> is a graphic designer, multimedia developer and audiovisual artist, and he’s also been part of the St\u00f6rung project from the beginning. His work, both audio and visual, is deriving from experiments in the field of digital synthesis and it’s focusing on fading the boundaries between computing and organic. He is playing concepts like fractal theory, serialism and controlled randomness.<\/p>\n
