It is designed to draw only approx. 2-4% of the power required by the CMC 6. No 48V phantom power is necessary; instead only a supply voltage\/current of 4V\/1mA is required, as is generally provided by most pocket transmitters for driving electret capsules.<br \/>\n<strong>Practice<\/strong><br \/>\nThe CMR allows an MK capsule to be used with pocket transmitters. As with electret microphones, only a very low supply current is required, yet the CMR offers low output impedance and good immunity to interference.<br \/>\nThe biggest benefit of all, however, is SCHOEPS&#8217; well-known sound quality, which this amplifier delivers fully.<br \/>\nThe robust connecting cable is reinforced with Kevlar fibers. It remains flexible at low temperatures, and does not twist.<br \/>\nThe CMR can be used with devices which provide 1 mA for a microphone at 4 Volts or higher.
