The Dutch software developer releases the third version of its tape delay plug-in. What stands out in this new version is the optimisation of algorithms of the analogical modelling, the improvement in usability and the addition of new resources.
– New interface: the function is simplified and the look is more in line with the rest of the brand’s tools. The color scheme is also optimised to be easier on the eye during long sessions. Furthermore, the change makes the direct edition of the effects possible, and includes a new full-screen mode.
– New feedback circuit effects: FabFilter adds 5 different types of feedback: drive, lo-fi, diffuse, dynamics and pitch processor.
– More filters and delay taps: the number of multimode filters grows to 6. For each of them it is possible to choose between high-pass, low-pass, band-pass, bell, shelf, and notch. The plug-in allows you to apply the filters in series, in parallel or with three on each audio channel to enhance the stereo effects. In addition, more delay taps are included, making a total of 16.
– An increase in presets: the number of presets available rises. They are now reorganised to make access to all the resources easier.
FabFilter Timeless 3 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), macOS 10.10 or higher (64-bit only) with an Intel or Apple Silicon processor. It is available in VST, VST3, Audio Units, AAX and AudioSuite.
The plug-in price is 109€. A free 30-day trial is offered.
